SSCP

The Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) is intended for those people with a minimum of a year’s worth of experience in an Information Security profession, and focuses on only seven of the ten domains tested in the CISSP:

  • Access Controls
  • Analysis and Monitoring
  • Cryptography
  • Malicious Code
  • Networks and Telecommunications
  • Risk, Response and Recovery
  • Security Operations and Administration

Our SSCP boot camp is three days in length, and provides the student with sufficient knowledge of these domains to pass the certification, which will allow government employees to work in the following fields, as outlined by DoD 8570:

  • Technical I
  • Technical II
  • Management II
  • CND Infrastructure Support

The SSCP boot camp is a 3-day course; each day contains 12 hours of lecture and hands-on exercises, with a 30-minute break for lunch and dinner. Classes begin at 7 am, and break one half hour each for a free catered lunch and dinner. Continental breakfast is also catered, and is available from 6 am until class begins. Offered primarily in Colorado, training is restricted to a maximum class room size of 10 students, in order to provide efficient student-teacher interaction. Each training camp includes the following:

  • Free computer laptop to take home, installed with all training material and course documentation
  • Up-to-date manuals and practice quizzes
  • Complimentary Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner each day
  • Certificate of Completion
